Your photo must clearly be of ASHFORD, and you must give an explanation as to why your photo shows your Reason to Smile about the town.
ONE photo per person. If you sneak in multiple entries, we will know and all will be immediately disqualified.
When we say min 1754 x 1240 pixels, we mean it! This is so if your photo is shortlisted, it can be reproduce on an A2 poster at least.
Think carefully about the image you enter - we are looking for originality, imagination, technical ability and a good interpretation of the brief.
We love flowers and sunrises, but this year we have to be extra strict – if your image looks like it could be taken anywhere, it will not qualify. We want to see Ashford at its best.
We like people! Don’t be afraid to star in your own photo, or have a whole crowd of Ashford folk in the shot. Just make sure you have permission to photograph any minors.
No submitting any photos you entered last year – a lot has changed in Ashford in the last 12months!

Terms and Conditions
One entry per person. Entries must include the photo's title, your name, age, home town and contact details. Any submissions without these details will be rejected. An optional comment box is available for you to explain your work (100 words max).
Photos must be your own work, and must not infringe the copyright or privacy of any other person. The photographer must obtain the consent of any person clearly identified in their photograph prior to submission.
Offensive, obscene, indecipherable or inappropriate photographs or comments will not be accepted onto the website or into the competition.
Entering the competition grants Ashford's Future and Ashford Borough Council licence to reproduce the images in their own and associated partners promotional material, future publications and in public exhibitions, and to use photographers' names and general location for publicity.
