The Ashford Best Placed in Britain Photography Competition is back for 2010, and this year, Ashford's Future wants to know what makes you smile about living, working and playing in the borough.

In 2009, regeneration company Ashford’s Future launched a photo competition asking people of all ages to take one great snap showing why Ashford was ‘Best Placed in Britain’.

The response was fantastic, with more than 90 entries, and lots of enthusiasm for the competition to return in 2010.

Ashford is now the fastest growing town in the South East, and a lot has changed since last year’s competition. We are now just 37minutes from London on the high speed rail link, with even more shops, more businesses, new homes, and big plans for the future.

Managing director of Ashford’s Future Judith Armitt said: “We were delighted by the quality of entries last year, and the enthusiasm for the competition to return.

“With so many positive developments and good news coming out of the town, there is plenty of reason to smile about Ashford and I am looking forward to seeing what local people find most inspiring about the borough.”

This year’s prizes include Eurostar tickets to Paris or Brussles for each winner, and there will also be other fantastic photographic prizes up for grabs, including £300 of Jessops vouchers, a large canvas print of your winning photo or a special day out to a top gallery.
