Road improvements continue

Works on two major transport projects, representing over £31m of investment in the town, are progressing well.

Victoria Way is an important new route for the town which will improve travel choices and open up investment opportunities.

The new street is starting to take shape with much of the initial activity centring on land between Leacon Road and Victoria Road, Gasworks Lane and the Brookfield Road/Leacon Road junction.

Work also began in June this year on improvements to Junction 9 of the M20 and nearby Drovers Roundabout.

Six months on and work on expanding the capacity at this key approach point to the town continues.

Work on widening the junctions and approach roads are on track to be completed by the end of March next year while installation of the footbridge across the M20 motorway is likely to take place in May.
