Families express ideas on park

Residents of all ages in Singleton have been putting their ideas forward for a new park in the area.

Ashford Borough Council, working with Great Chart with Singleton Parish Council, has secured funding to transform approximately half of the empty green land opposite John Wesley Primary School in Singleton into a brand new community park for 2012.

More than 80 people examined two giant posters showing pictures of a wide range of possible equipment and landscaping, and placed coloured stickers on the features they liked the most.

All results and comments will be collected, and the most popular choices will be used to form the basis of the new park’s design. The results will be fed back to residents at a follow up event in February 2011.
