RAIL
The High Speed 1 ( HS1) rail link
connects Ashford with London in just 38 minutes, cutting travel
time in half. There are now two trains every hour, every day, all
day, keeping Ashford well connected to the captial's businesses and
lesiure attractions.
Ashford International Station is readily accessible from both
the M20 by road and from most of Kent and East Sussex via 5 rail
lines which converge at Ashford.
Eurostar daily passenger
services connect to Paris in just two hours, Lille in 57
minutes and Brussels in less than 90 minutes. There are also daily
services to Disneyland® Resort Paris as and weekly
services to Avignon during the summer and the French Alps during
the winter.
Freight and passenger traffic passes through the Eurotunnel departure point at
nearby Folkestone, taking just 35 minutes to Calais.
ROAD
Road links connect Ashford with most European cities within a
day. Two major motorways, the M20 and M2, provide easy access to
continental Europe and beyond through the Channel Tunnel.
With a recently completed £7 million improvements to
Junction 10 of the M20, the remodelling of the ring road,
substantial capacity improvements at junction 9 of the M20 and
nearby Drovers Roundabout, Ashford will directly benefit from
improved access in and around the town centre.
AIR
Ashford offers ready access to London’s two main airports -
Heathrow and Gatwick - within 90 minutes.
London Ashford Airport (Lydd)
and Kent
International Airport (Manston) are both improving their
excellent facilities by investing in phased multi-million pound
redevelopment programmes.
SEA
The Port of Dover is within easy
reach of Ashford – some 25 minutes away. The world's busiest
roll-on, roll-off ferry terminal, it handles up to 2.3 million
freight vehicles per year.
